Dining out...

There are a number of local pubs in Corfe Castle that serve a range of pub-grub and even offer a take-out service. There is also a local supermarket in the square where you can purchase a range of food, drink and house-hold products. In addition, there is a Sainsbury's located in Wareham (ten minute drive) and the big towns of Poole and Bournemouth have a very wide range of chain restaurants including ASK, Wagamama, Harry Ramsdens, Nando's, Pizza Express and TGI Friday's.

The Smugglers Inn is situated on one of the most walked pathways of the Jurrassic coastline, with breath-taking views across Weymouth and Portland Bay. In the summer you can sit outside in the beautiful gardens enjoying the sun and in the winter you can sit inside a traditional, atmospheric candle-lit and stove-heated pub. Home cooked traditional and contemporary food and real ales are available through tout the year.

The Castle Inn The Castle Inn hasn't changed much over the years. Flagstones, bare stone walls, exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces are still prominent features. There are several menus on offer, with special meals for children. In the winter you`ll find a blazing fire in the hearth, in the summer you can enjoy the large beer garden overlooking the steam railway, or the floral terrace under the shade of the grapevines. It is recommended to book a table as the pub can get quite full at busy periods.

The Scott Arms is located on a hilltop overlooking Corfe Castle, where fantastic views of the Dorset countryside can be seen. The pretty ivy clad walls and fantastic garden which seats 400 comfortably are the main features of this quaint pub. The inside has retained some original features like the log fires, which are lit in the winter and has some local photos on the walls. The food is mostly freshly prepared and cooked to order from a varied main menu and Specials board. There is a selection of wines to complement your meal or a choice of real ales if preferred.
